"I was not prepared for the warmth and love we experienced when we first stepped onto the Kings Cross campus. Any doubts or fears I had about trying another church vanished. My anxiety was replaced by a welcome sense of freedom. I did not fear being myself and was able to worship Jesus with my whole heart. My husband and I knew it immediately…we were home.

The desire of the people at Kings Cross to deepen the faith of their members and to strengthen their community through meaningful fellowship was evident. My family’s addition to a community group and multiple service teams went seamlessly. We were welcomed with open arms and the friendships that began almost a year ago will no doubt last a lifetime."

Every church is different, and the best way to figure out if a church is right for you is simply to visit on a Sunday morning. However, that can be intimidating if you don't have some idea of what to expect. So, here are a few ideas about what you can expect on Sunday mornings at King's Cross Church...

What can I expect in a worship service?

The worship at King's Cross is centered on the gospel and driven by scripture. Our goal is to reflect the history of the Church while remaining current in context, so you’ll hear everything from modern songs to hymns.  We never want Sundays to be a performance, so join in singing with us!  Our services last about an hour and fifteen minutes.

We look forward to worshipping with you!

Do you have adult Bible study / Sunday School / etc?

Not on Sunday mornings. We meet in a school, and we simply do not have the facility to accommodate adult groups on Sunday mornings. That said, Community Groups play a vital role in the life of our church! We believe strongly that small groups are the place where relationships grow the strongest and faith grows the deepest. If you are interested in being a part of a Community Group, please email jromine@kingscross.org.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOUR CHILDREN'S MINISTRY?

King's Cross Kids (KCK) is very excited to meet you and your children!

When you arrive in the lobby, our team members will walk your family through the steps to get checked-in for the first time (don't worry, it only takes a few minutes). We suggest you arrive 10-15 minutes early. We have the utmost concern for your child’s safety, so be sure to share allergy info or any other info that may be helpful.  Each parent and child receive a security ID tag at check-in.  Your child’s security ID tag is their ‘ticket’ to enter their ministry area as it lets our team members know they have successfully checked-in.  At the end of service, each parent picking up a child must provide their security tag to the KCK team member in their child’s ministry area, which will be paired to their child’s security tag at dismissal. All KCK team members receive a background check and never serve alone with children.

KCK offers three engaging worship and learning environments where the Gospel is presented each week, each offering age appropriate teaching and care for infants through 4th grade. Our elementary room offers teaching and worship songs in a large group setting and then provides application of the lesson through discussion and activities in break-out community groups.  Our preschool and nursery areas also offer a lesson, worship songs, prayer, and lots of time for play in a safe, nurturing, and secure environment.

Nursery: Infant through 2 years

Preschool: 3 years through 5 years

Elementary: K through 4th grade

If you have any questions, please ask any of our KCK team members and they will be more than happy to help! For more information about our children's ministry click here or email kking@kingscross.org.

Is there anything for Middle & High School students?

Yes! We believe the next generation has much to offer in the life of our church and in kingdom advancement, which means we are serious about investing in students! On Sunday morning, students (5th-12th grade) join us in the 10:00am Worship Service. Then on Sunday nights our students gather for age-specific teaching and fellowship. For more information about our student ministry stop by the student table on Sunday morning, or email Colleen ( cmcfarlin@kingscross.org) or Rashad (rwhite@kingscross.org).
